When it comes to adult animated shows, no one does quite like Adult Swim. The beloved nighttime TV network has given us some incredible shows and a few duds. In 2025 so far, we've gotten Common Side Effects, and now, Oh My God... Yes! A Series of Extremely Relatable Circumstances.

Those two shows premiering in the same year prove just how bold Adult Swim can be in its content, but since I enjoy Common Side Effects, this one was next on my list. Additionally, there aren't many adult animated shows being released just yet.

Hopefully, we'll get more shows later in the year but for now, these are the two new releases. If you didn't know, Oh My God... Yes! was originally released in 2023. The pilot aired and it was eventually greenlit. Currently, the show is airing Sunday nights at 12:15 am EST with the first two episodes airing on March 9.

At this point, it's unclear how many episodes are in the show's first season, but with a 15-minute runtime, there's no telling what kind of show it's going to be. The good news is that the animation looks fun, and the concept seems like a great fit, given some of Adult Swim's other projects.

Is Oh My God... Yes! from Adult Swim worth streaming?

Before getting into our thoughts, I wanted to share the premise from the press release to give you an idea of what you're in for: "[The series] follows three women, Sunny, Tulip, and Ladi, who live
in the not-so-distant future of South Central LA." Sounds simple enough, but that's what most of us thought of Tuca & Bertie, so we'll see.

The first episode sets the tone for the series early as it's absolutely bonkers. The first episode follows the group as a demon baby is being born. As weird as it might seem, things get even weirder as they're dealing with either saving it or destroying it. While the plotlines and colors might bother some, I think they added an air of uniqueness to the show. The only thing I didn't absolutely love was the writing as it felt like it was trying too hard. Other than that, the first episode was solid.

Moving onto the second episode, this one was my favorite. Not only do we learn more about these characters, but the addition of the rapping spider was excellent. There is just something so funny about seeing that spider rap and the way he acts. If the show decides to keep up with this absurd humor, I think more people will warm up to it.

While this isn't going to be one of my favorite animated shows of the year, it's a good one. The animation is good. The characters are fun and their dynamic is great which is bolstered by an incredible voice cast. Hopefully, the show continues to give us more insight into this world and the characters.

Oh My God, Yes! is currently streaming on Max.
