Bob's Burgers: Is there a Christmas episode for 2024?

Will we be decking the halls with the Belchers this holiday season?

BOB'S BURGERS: When the power goes out two days before Christmas, The Belchers must spend the holiday at Mr. Fischoeder's family's old hunting lodge in the "The Nightmare 2 Days Before Christmas" episode of BOB'S BURGERS airing Sunday, Dec 17 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. With the cold weather, most of us are ready to scream "Bah humbug!" and forget about the upcoming Christmas holiday. However, there's one bright side to every single holiday and it's a Bob's Burgers episode.

Looking at Thanksgiving 2024, we sadly didn't get a Bob's Burgers episode. The good news is that there is a Christmas episode. If you follow some of the Bob's Burgers staff members, you'll remember a post shared by Simon Chong.

Oddly enough, these are lining up perfectly as "Boogie Days" aired in November. After that, Chong shared his drawing for the script cover and gave us the name for this year's Christmas episode which is "Dog Christmas Day After Afternoon." Since the photos have been uploaded on Fox's press site, the description has also been shared.

If you don't want to know anything about this year's Christmas episode, then this is where you click off as we're going to share the description. However if you're curious about what's to come down the chimney for the Belchers, then you're in luck.

"Dog Christmas Day After Afternoon" is 2024's Christmas episode title.

While some episodes tend to have longer description, the one for "Dog Christmas Day After Afternoon" is only a sentence. However, that has me even more excited for what's to come as it says: "A family trip to go see Christmas lights turns into a rescue mission, in more ways than one." Sounds like a classic Belcher holiday adventure.

In recent years, Bob's Burgers has given us some heartwarming and more emotional Christmas episodes so it'll be interesting to see where this one lands. The show has been leaning more toward the softer side of things. That's probably why it's such a comfort show for so many viewers as you can just fall into the story without thinking about it too much.

One of the hopes I had for the Belcher family is that they would get a pet and fingers crossed that hope comes true. However, it seems like something that wouldn't make the most sense yet sometimes the show pulls off the impossible. The writers of Bob's Burgers are incredibly talented so I trust them.

Ultimately, it's good to know that we're getting a Bob's Burgers Christmas episode. If you're curious, "Dog Christmas Day After Afternoon" is set to air on Fox on December 15th at 9/8c. Until then, you can get caught up on all your favorite Christmas episodes of the past on Hulu.
