Disney+ will premiere another exclusive The Simpsons episode ahead of its season 36 mid-season premiere. It'll be titled "The Past and the Furious" and centered on Lisa and Mr. Burns. This unlikely but polarizing duo will discover some new things about Burns' history and why he is the way he is.
As we have to wait until the second-to-last day in March for The Simpsons to return to Fox for Animation Domination, "The Past and the Furious" will be a satisfying fill-in. It'll be a full-length episode with all the characters and identical humorous plot the show is well known for. It's just going to be on a different platform.
Okay then, let' find out more about this Disney+ exclusive, when it'll be available, and more!
Everything to know about the Disney+ exclusive The Simpsons episode, "The Past and the Furious"

On January 31st, Disney+ released the promotional material for "The Past and the Furious." Honestly, I initially thought the episode would be part of the Fox lineup, but it additionally makes sense for it to be on Disney+, seeing how the streamer released the Christmas episode, "All Come On Ye Faithful" in December.
"The Past and the Furious" will be the second full-length episode that will be exclusively streamed on Disney+. The streamer additionally has a total of nine shorts, with the last one being a dedication to Sideshow Bob, which debuted last October.
What will "The Past and the Furious" be about?
Disney+ released the episode's official synopsis which gives a brief introduction. We know that Lisa and Burns will be the focal points, but there's more to it.
You can read it below!
“In this exclusive full-length episode of The Simpsons, Lisa travels back in time to 1923 and discovers that the Springfield Mini Moose, once key to the town’s ecosystem, was driven to extinction in 1925. Teaming up with young Monty Burns, Lisa works to save the moose, but her actions unintentionally shape his future as a ruthless tycoon.”
Did Lisa really falter Springfield's ecosystem, and Burns became the evil man we know him for today? If so, the plotline smashes canonical points about the 104-year-old nuclear plant owner out of the park. Then again, The Simpsons sometimes went askew in their stories, so it's not entirely unusual for the writers to experiment with new material and ideas.
The poster
Along with the synopsis, Disney+ dropped the poster for "The Past and the Furious." It reflects that of the 1920s novel, The Great Gatsby and is divided down the center with the 1920s versions of Lisa, Burns, Smithers, Carl, and the mysterious Mini Moose. On the opposite side, we have the modern-day appearances, with Homer and Marge looking worried. Bart on the other hand, is just being himself.
Lisa’s on a race against time to save Springfield!
