"Fat Gun" was an epic start to the long-awaited 23rd season. But will "Live, Laugh, Love," the second episode, hold a light to the premiere's flame?
It'll be challenging to live up to the expectations of "Fat Gun", but if anything, the Family Guy writers love to push boundaries. This fundamental is true when they craft material for the more risqué episodes, which could cause a few raised hairs. "Live, Laugh, Love" will circle the characters' personal lives, and once again, Peter gets into one of his shenanigans. The latter never fails to amaze me because how can one man evoke so much trouble?

Look, Peter. I appreciate your determination and effort, but not everyone will follow your vibe here. It's nothing personal; it's just human nature. It stinks, but you get past it and move on.

"Peter tries to make Joe laugh when he realizes Joe has never found him funny; Lois chaperones Chris and Meg's school trip, where she hopes to reunite Principal Shepherd with his long-lost love."

I'll be transparent here, but every time Lois gets involved with school activities, something always happens. Whether it's embarrassing her kids, getting arrested, or even trying to get Peter to behave, is always a staple in the Family Guy narrative.
Who knows what will happen with Lois this time? After all, she's getting attached to Principal Shepherd's love life, which may have dire consequences. Nothing ever good comes out of that, at least on Family Guy. The Simpsons has had better luck in that department.
