The Simpsons are celebrating the 2025 Oscars this weekend with a two-day FXX marathon of movie-themed episodes! The Disney-owned network will air sixty back-to-back pieces highlighting the stars and, naturally, the animated comedy and hilarious satire.
If you know The Simpsons, and I can't imagine anyone not knowing The Simpsons, their claim to fame was depicting a nuclear family life that's filled with related situations and historical and pop culture references with comedic takes. Nearly everything that has happened in this world has been touched on or paid tribute to on the show. You can bet your Duff mug that movies heavily influenced The Simpsons in its material.
So grab the snacks, the drinks, and treats and get ready to watch movies with The Simpsons!
Everything to know about The Simpsons x 2025 Oscars marathon on FXX

The Simpsons x 2025 Oscars marathon will start promptly at 10 AM EST / 9 AM CST on FXX Saturday, March 1st. It will run up until 7:30 PM EST/6:30 PM CST on Sunday, March 2nd- the night of the Oscars. That's a total of nearly 48 hours of episodes, all dedicated to the movies.
Expect big-name stars such as Ron Howard, Dustin Hoffman, the late Jack Lemmon, Paul Judd, Eartha Kitt, and many, many more to make voice-over cameos.
What episodes will be included The Simpsons marathon?

Episodes include the classic "Radioactive Man" from season 7, "Krusty Gets Kancelled" from season 4, "Rosebud" from season 5, "Boy Scoutz 'N The Hood" also from season 5, and "The Clown Stays In The Picture" from season 31.
The Homer and Ned Flanders dynamic alone in "Boy Scoutz 'N The Hood" is more than enough for this episode's much-appreciated rewatch. I always say that we need more Flanders in our world, as he brings cheerfulness on an unpleasant day.
Those are only a few from Saturday's batch, as Sunday will continue rolling out the episodes. For Sunday, season 33's "Treehouse of Horror XXX," season 4's "Itchy and Scratchy The Movie," season 6's "A Star Is Burns," and season 18's "Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Three Times" will be broadcast.
If you're not one who's going to watch the 2025 Oscars live on ABC at 8 PM EST/7 PM CST on March 2nd, a great choice would be The Simpsons Movie from 2007 in place of the awards show. The animated full-length feature is just like an episode, except it's stretched to 90 minutes and created for the Big Screen.
