Universal Basic Guys: Who are the voice actors behind the characters?
Universal Basic Guys is Fox's latest addition to their Animation Domination lineup on Sunday nights. In case you don't know the premise of this animated sitcom, it's about two brothers (Mark and Hank Hoagies) who were laid off from their jobs at the hot dog factory thanks to robots taking over. Their former employer grants the brothers $3000 a month to soothe the losses as part of a universal basic income program.
While the easy flow of cash is supposed to go towards household utilities and seeking prospective employment elsewhere, Mark and Hank use the money for nonsensical extravagances. It's not the wisest way, but they're free to spend that money however they want, as it's their money. And it leads to some comedic relief and a lesson, so it works out, I guess.
Universal Basic Guys was created by brothers Adam and Craig Malamut. While I was skeptical of the show at first, it grew on me, especially after this week's episode, "Fight or Flight," in which Mark gets involved with piloting a 747 and the TSA gets annoyed.
Ahead of its first season premiere on September 8th, UBG was renewed for a second season, meaning that we'll have plenty more cash-hyped adventures to explore.
Like its colleague shows, The Simpsons and Family Guy, it takes a team of talent to put together a show, but it's mostly run by the brothers.
