Why doesn't season 14 of Bob's Burgers have a Halloween episode?

Halloween episodes of Bob's Burgers are a staple. While the episodes aren't talked about as much as The Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror" episodes, they're some of the best on TV.

The Belchers usually celebrate all of the major holidays which include Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Sometimes, there will be episodes focused on other holidays such as Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter but the major holidays are Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

While season 15 is set to air its Halloween episodes on October 27th, 2024, some might wonder why we don't have one for season 14. The answer is simple and it's due to the strikes that were going on at the time.

During the time of production, both the Writers Guild of America aka the WGA and the SAG-AFTRA strikes were happening. Due to that, there wasn't anything happening in Hollywood thus we got fewer episodes than normal and things were a bit wonky. Thankfully, Fox decided to add to season 14 before season 15 aired.

Since season 3, season 14 is the only one without a Halloween episode.

In looking back at the show's history, Bob's Burgers aired a Halloween episode from season 3 until season 13. With the strikes, season 14 didn't have one. Thankfully, season 15 is righting the ship, and a new Halloween episode is coming. It truly doesn't feel like Halloween unless there's a new Bob's Burgers episode to enjoy.

Despite season 14 not having a Halloween episode, you can get some thrills and chills from other episodes in the season. Some consider "Escape from Which Island?" an unofficial Halloween episode as it's pretty creepy and puts Bob in a really weird position with Mr. Fischoeder. Another thrilling season 14 episode is "Fraud of the Dead: Zombie-docu-pocalypse," which follows Louise helping to save the family from zombies.

Aside from that, most of season 14's episodes aren't as thrilling. If you are craving some Halloween content, then there are a massive backlog of Bob's Burgers Halloween episodes to enjoy. While season 14 isn't on that list, there will hopefully be even more fun Halloween episodes coming from Bob's Burgers in the future.
