As 2024 comes to a close, most of us are looking back at the year and everything it gave us including some new episodes of Bob's Burgers.
While the show didn't give us nearly as much content due to the strikes, there were still plenty of amazing Bob's Burgers episodes to enjoy. That's why we're looking back and sharing 4 of our favorites.
Whether you preferred the show's more emotional outings or wanted something hilarious, there were so many great episodes that aired this year. Plus we even got some bonus episodes in season 14 which rarely ever happens. No matter which episodes you preferred, there will be a bit of something for everyone on this list.
No matter if you're a casual viewer or have been a long-time Bob's Burgers lover, we'd love to know if there are any 2024 episodes you think we missed or ones worth revisiting. Thankfully, there is still plenty of time to revisit these episodes but let's get into our best of Bob's Burgers for 2024.
These 4 episodes were the best of Bob's Burgers in 2024.
1. "To Catch A Beef"
The first episode making my list is "To Catch A Beef" which served as the final episode of season 14 and honestly, what a way to end the season. While there were some real heavy-hitters at the end of season 14, "To Catch A Beef" was an easy pick. Not only was the episode absolutely ridiculous but it featured Bosco who always bring the most unhinged energy to every single episode.
"To Catch A Beef" is funny, has a solid plotline and has a surprise ending you won't see coming. While it might not be as beloved as some of season 14's other episodes, it feels like a classic Bob's Burgers episode in the best way.
2. "Saving Favorite Drive-In"
Moving to the season 15 episodes, the first one that came to mind was "Saving Favorite Drive-In," which feels like another classic Bob's Burgers episode. We're following the Belcher family as they head to the drive-in for its last hurrah but Bob decides to try to save it. Meanwhile, Gene and Louise eat all of Tina's favorite candy and try to hide it while Linda accidentally starts a tiff within her PTA group.
While some episodes can't hold three storylines in one, "Saving Favorite Drive-In" does an excellent job. Bob's storyline is the main yet the kids and Linda get their time to shine, too. Plus we get some flashbacks of Bob's younger years which is always fun to see. This episode is one I'll defintiely be revisiting heading into 2025.
3. "Hope N' Mic Night"
Would it be a list of awesome Bob's Burgers episodes without a musical episode? I doubt it, but "Hope N' Mic Night" was an utter masterpiece. Since I've already discussed the episode at length, I won't get into too many details. However, we're following the kids as they organize an open mic night at Bob's Burgers and it ends up being much successful than anyone could have imagined.
The other reason why this episode is so great is that it's the reintroduction of Marshmallow. Voiced by Jari Jones, she really takes the cake for her performance. If you've been missing Marshmallow, then you'll adore "Hope N' Mic Night." The show also released an EP featuring three songs from the episode so make sure to check that out as well.
4. "They Slug Horses, Don't They?"
Picking another episode from season 15 was hard as there haven't been many yet some were so good. While I'd normally pick this year's Christmas episode, I chose to go with "They Slug Horses, Don't They?" This episode feels like a beautiful illustration of what it means to be a sibling and just how frustrating that can be.
As an eldest daughter, I could feel Tina's pain as she's more mature so she's expected to let things go yet Louise seems to get away with a little bit more. While things aren't mended between the two, in the end, they're able to reach some kind of common ground. Additionally, the animation in the episode was just beautiful and something I can't help but be in awe of. The show's artists truly outdid themselves and it gets me even more excited for what's to come in 2025.
Bob's Burgers airs on Sundays on Fox at 9/8c.
2024 has been a great year to be a Bob's Burgers fan so there's no telling what kind of episodes we're going to get in 2025. While there have been some teases, the one thing I am hoping for is more Marshmallow as Jari Jones absolutely knocked it out of the park.
