Maybe some things are better off left in the past and not be resurfaced. In Family Guy season 23, episode 7, "Hard Times at Adam West High," Chris wants to go back mere hours earlier to correct his mistake. With Brian's help, he does, but it results in a horrifying conclusion.
During an oral book report in class, Chris experiences a hormonal reaction and is naturally embarrassed. He becomes the school joke, distracting everyone from their assignments. Brin comes up with the idea of using Stewie's time machine to return to the moment so the problem can be fixed. When Stewie overhears them, he warns them about the consequences time travel will have. Brian and Chris choose to ignore him, although Stewie is absolutely right.
The two sneak into the baby's room late at night, and after guessing the password, they're back at Adam West High. Chris was able to fix his error, but when he and his dog return to the present, Stewie informs them that their journey ravaged Meg's face, as she didn't turn away from her chemistry experiment. When everyone was laughing at Chris, she and other kids turned to see what was the commotion about. The time time travel trip cost Meg's face to become destroyed by the acid.
When you mess with the timeframe, don't expect it to be untouched.
However, there's a solution to the issue. The boys must re-travel back in time and have Chris redo his mistake, so that Meg's face doesn't get destroyed. So, they go through with the time travel process again, and it's a success.
I'm glad that Stewie, Brian, and Chris were able to help Meg out. It shows that they really care for her, despite their mistreatment. She deserves better than what she's given and the plotline highlighted that.
Peter Griffin gets money hungry in Family Guy season 23 episode 7 "Hard Times At Adam West High"
In the second plot, Peter misses out on the $123 lottery winnings and is jealous of the mediocre things his friends buy from theirs. So, what does he do? He breaks into the convenience store where Carl works and steals scratch-off ticket rolls.
The shenanigan lands Peter in jail, and, no, he doesn't win anything from the lifted scratch-offs. It serves him right, as nothing is ever really gained from stealing or dishonesty. Luckily, Cleveland, Joe, and Quagmire bailed him out of jail, saying that Peter has more in life and he should value it.
At the end, Corey from Corey's World sits down with the Griffins to discuss their material. I didn't see a point to this scene, but it could be an effort to ingrain Corey in more episodes. Otherwise, despite his appearances, he doesn't do much for me.
