Here's how FOX's Animation Domination block could look for the 2025-2026 schedule

With four shows renewed, the the block could return to its original roots.

On Sunday nights, FOX's 2025-2026 Animation Domination block could reel back to its origins following the historic 4-season renewal of four of their most watched shows. If that's the plan, then sign me up. It just makes sense for the network.

The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, and American Dad! all have been granted four more seasons, a monumental feat between the 20th Animation and Disney. American Dad! has been beamed back to FOX after serving eleven years on TBS and wrapped up season 19 on March 24th. It's a good thing, too, as fans could watch these shows back-to-back on Sunday.

Given that two other FOX animated comedies, The Great North, has yet to be renewed for a sixth season, and Krapopolis has been extended for two more (it's currently airing its second season), the Amination Domination block just might revert to what made it iconic.

Nothing has been confirmed or set in stone, nor has it even been announced regarding FOX's 2025-2026 TV schedule for the fall, as it's too early in the year for the network. However, that doesn't deflect what the Animation Domination Block could potentially be. I'm not expecting anything, but as a long-time fan of The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, and American Dad!, it'll be epic if these originals were aired on the same night.

A mock-up of the schedule for 2025=2026

8:30 PM/7:30 CST: Family Guy

9 PM/8 PM CST: Bob's Burgers

9:30 PM/8:30 PM CST: American Dad!

Another great benefit of this Animation Domination line-up is the ratings boost. Earlier this year, FOX pushed Family Guy to midseason with a March premiere. While it's not unusual for networks to have midseason arrivals, the break was nearly a year for the Seth MacFarlane series. Additionally, halfway through season 22, Family Guy migrated from Sunday nights to Wednesdays, which left fans disappointed by the move. It also altered the ratings by causing a decline.

If FOX decides to go with this schedule, the ratings for all four shows will increase, as they were all once connected. Lastly, the layout will provide a sense of nostalgia for the audience as they experience the schedule first. Nostalgia is trending in the media, and seeing how the times are shaky right now, it'll be nice to revisit. What better way to have that feeling other than animated comedy, as it makes us feel good?

We could all use a laugh.

The Simpsons and Family Guy are currently airing Sundays on FOX, while American Dad! and Bob's Burgers can be streamed on Hulu.
