The Griffins are celebrating Christmas early this year and before Thanksgiving! Hulu dropped the trailer for its Family Guy holiday special, "Gift of the White Guy," where Quahog is in the full-on holiday spirit. It's not your traditional cheer and yuletide warmth but simply chaotic and filled with Family Guy's delightfully strange material.
Like the Halloween special, which dropped on Hulu in October, "Gift of the White Guy" is part of the 25th anniversary of the animated comedy. In essence, since 1999, we've been witnesses to Peter's ongoing shenanigans and Stewie's desire for world domination. Later seasons have watered down the youngest Griffin's seemingly evil advocations, and neutralized him to time travel, with Brian in tow.
With Christmas quickly approaching, we're getting our watchlists ready and you can bet that Family Guy will be on them. Seth MacFarlane and his team have created plentiful gems over the years, and with Family Guy not ending anytime soon, or in the future, we can't wait to unearth more.
Could "Gift of the White Guy" be on of the gems? Well, we think so, but we're giving a preview as like all people at Christmas Time., we can't wait.
Peter pulls a holiday heist in Hulu's Family Guy holiday special
You'd think Peter would be spending Christmas with his family, but nope. He's spending it with his buddies down at The Clam. He gets himself into a pickle after he accidently gives away a precious item of his wife. In total Family Guy ethos, Peter hatches a plan to get it back by stealing, but it will take some cooperation, as we all know he can't act on it alone. There will always be that fallback guy or guys, in this case, to help Peter out in his schemes.
Before we get to the trailer, Hulu has the official synopsis for "Gift of the White Guy." This was previously reported, but it's good to rewind.
"Peter must recover Lois’ Christmas brooch after gifting it away in a White Elephant exchange. Stewie changes his attitude upon learning he’s on Santa’s naughty list."
Circling back to Stewie's world domination, could this be the reason why he landed on the Naughty List? If so, then it's a clever recall to the first Family Guy Christmas episode, "A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas" from 2001, as Stewie tiptoed between the Naughty and Nice Lists for his questionable behavior.
The episode where we got KISS Saves Santa. Why that wasn't created into a continuation, I've no idea.
Anywho, erasing himself from the Naughty List and transferring to the Nice is yet to be seen, but there's no doubt that Brian will be Stewie's sidekick. I hope there are musical numbers like the ones in "Road To To The Northpole."
