Sunday nights aren't the same without Family Guy, and that's why season 23 has been nothing short of delicious thus far. Plenty of edgy humor and Peter's wacky behavior and shenanigans took on new levels that, even for him, are a bit outrageous. It's who he is, and we're not faulting him.
It's not to say that Peter's shenanigans irritate others, and that's what is going to happen in the Family Guy season 23 episode 4, "Lois CK," airing on March 9th. Lois planned a whole night for herself, but her husband had to pull his childish behavior and ruin her getaway. Lois has been in this predicament far too many times that she could count, but as a loving wife and the mother to their kids, she tolerated Peter's antics.
But this time, it might be the first instance that the Griffin matriarch finally revolts against the shenanigans. One can only take so much before they snap from the pressure, and Lois has reached her breaking point. While she had used violence in the past, she won't go that route to get back at Peter, but she will use a few choice words to get revenge and her feelings out.

It appears that comedy will be Lois's revenge on Peter, as she pursues stand-up. I give her much credit for risking going on stage and cracking jokes in front of people who would judge your performance. Then again, Lois had been on the center stage before, so this endeavor is nothing new. For a refresher, she became a lounge singer for Peter's basement in season one's "Mind Over Murder."
She adores the attention and the effect of being the hot thing, and "Lois CK" sounds like it could be a parallel to "Mind Over Murder." Family Guy tends to reflect on its past episodes with subtle references, and other times, it can be direct.

"Due to Peter's shenanigans, Lois is late to her ladies' night out at a concert, causing her to miss the show and end up at a comedy bar. Venting her anger about Peter, Lois lands joke after joke and rapidly becomes a stand-up comedian, using real-life stories about Peter as content. Once Peter catches wind about this, he tries his best to straighten his life out to avoid being ridiculed by Lois’s comedy act."
