Nancy Cartwright, famously known for her voice role as Bart Simpson (and several others) on The Simpsons, has a new project in store for the diehard fans.
For nearly forty years, the Matt Groening animated comedy has presented one Simpson adventure after another, secured a host of A-list guest stars, and foreshadowed several real-life situations. The family and their equally wacky Springfield neighbors have certainly been through a lot, and with The Simpsons being renewed for at least four more seasons, there's going to be a lot more.
Cartwright has been with Bart since the show's (the shorts) humble start in 1987, and she knows that the fans are a significant part of The Simpsons' success. As such, she frequently participates in online fandom engagement, whether sharing secrets about the long-running series or posting on social media.
Now, the voice actress will continue to expand The Simpsons universe, heightening its popularity and opening a new world of reveals.
What to know about Nancy Cartwright's The Simpsons podcast

The Simpsons will be getting their very own podcast, with Cartwright as the host. It's titled Simpsons Declassified With Nancy Cartwright, with its premise exploring behind-the-scenes outtakes, fan theories, and celebrity guest stars. As of this writing, no date has been announced; however, the podcast is the brainchild of Cartwright and her business partner, Monica Gil-Rodriguez's company, CRE84U Entertainment, in collaboration with the audio platform Audacy.
Joining Cartwright on the pod will be Sofy Kurtz, CRE84U's producing partner. Gil-Rodriguez will serve as executive producer and showrunner for Simpsons Declassified. Audacy's Leah Reis-Dennis will share the credits with the latter.
Variety was the first to report Cartwright's podcast news on April 16th, as well as The Simpsons' launch into the medium. It's an exciting thing to see, especially when the show has tapped into nearly everything. At this point, what more could The Simpsons touch?
Cartwright and Gil-Rodriguez shared a joint statement with Variety regarding their leap into the podcasting world.
“We’re thrilled to finally announce the launch of Simpsons Declassified — a four-year labor of love for the fans. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Leah Reis-Dennis and her incredible team at Audacy to bring this dream project to life.”
Ahead of the official report, Cartwright gave fans a glimpse of her newest project on Instagram. In the post, the legendary lady of voices is dressed as Bart, and taking one of his cues by writing on the chalkboard with "I will not start a podcast" in multiple lines. The background is the classroom in animation style from Springfield Elementary and a portrait of Homer hangs on the wall.
Long-time fans and new ones will surely dig Simpsons Declassified With Nancy Cartwright as they'll come across stuff they never knew before. The podcast is another page in The Simpsons' history books, and trust me, it'll be re-read, or in this case, relistened.
