Over the Garden Wall celebrates 10 years with upcoming short

There are some animated shows that are marketed towards kids but are for older viewers and one of those is Over the Garden Wall.

Since the show's release in 2014, it has gained fans of all ages and it's one of the best shows to watch during the fall season. If you haven't watched Over the Garden Wall, the series follows brothers: Wirt and Greg who end up in The Unknown.

The mini-series follows the two as they travel throughout the forest. It's an adventure and full of so many spooky moments. With the show airing on Cartoon Network, you would think that the scares wouldn't be too bad yet the show is surprisingly creepy. It does give that perfect Halloween and Fall vibe most of us crave during this season.

In honor of the show premiering 10 years ago, we're getting a special treat in the form of a new two-minute stop-motion short. You can view the full announcement below.

Over the Garden Wall is celebrating 10 years in a fun way.

For those who love Over the Garden Wall, you might recognize those two handles as @someb_ooks is the IG handle of Patrick McHale, the creator of the show and then, Aardman which is an animation company. You might recognize some of Aardman's other popular projects including Chicken Run and Wallace & Gromit which are arguably more popular than Over the Garden Wall.

Given how the series ended, it's unclear what we'll be getting from this short. However, I would never doubt the greatness of Patrick McHale. Considering the lasting legacy of Over the Garden Wall, this stop-motion short is bound to be amazing. Whether you've watched the mini-series recently or have loved it for a decade, it'll be posted on both YouTube and socials on November 3rd.

Thankfully, Over the Garden Wall is currently streaming on Hulu so you can do your annual rewatch ahead of November 3rd and if you haven't watched it, it's short, making it perfect for a weekend watch.
