The Bob's Burgers Movie: Was Grover Fischoeder in any episodes?

The Bob's Burgers Movie was released in 2022. Since then, some items from the film have been featured in the show including in the show's opening.

For those who haven't watched the movie, we'll be talking about spoilers. Then again if you're here, you've probably already watched The Bob's Burgers Movie. Even so, this is your warning that we'll be talking about characters and plot details.

In the film, we watch as Grover Fischoeder murders people and then tries to get away with it by keeping everyone including his family and the Belchers as hostages. His plan was to kill everyone, set the park on fire, and get all the money from his cousins Calvin and Felix's trust so he would be rich. It's not a bad evil plan but of course, things didn't work out that way.

Instead, Grover is taken away to jail and the Belchers are saved. As large a part as Grover played in the film, it does bring up an even larger question about his role in the series.

Was Grover Fischoeder featured in any episodes of Bob's Burgers?

Of all the characters we thought could be a villain, I'm sure most of us never saw Grover Fischoeder coming. Even so, that doesn't mean that we haven't seen Grover pop up once or twice throughout the series. In doing some research, I found that he had appeared in two episodes before the film, which likely went under most fans' notice.

The first episode Grover appeared in was "Roamin' Bob-iday." Serving as season 9, episode 16, we saw Calvin introduce Bob to Grover as the family's cousin and a lawyer. Despite that, it's clear Grover is in some shady business. He's also pretty shifty and a little nervous but nothing that would tip off any of us fans to what Grover had going on.

Grover then appeared in the season 11 episode, "Copa-Bob-Bana." The episode follows the Fischoeder brothers enlisting Bob as their new club's chef for only one night, and he does it so the family doesn't have to pay rent the following month. Grover pops up multiple times to try to advise Felix on what not to do and talks to Calvin about how it's a stupid idea to even humor Felix about the club. Overall, it's clear Grover isn't the best cousin or person so it makes sense why things played out the way they did in The Bob's Burgers Movie.

The good news is that if you're looking to follow Grover's journey from minor character to villain, then all you have to do is head to Hulu to watch "Roamin' Bob-iday," "Copa-Bob-Bana," and The Bob's Burgers Movie.
