Streaming has changed the TV landscape. While some agree it's for worse, others agree that it's for better but certain shows have taken over the streaming world includingBob's Burgers.
Bob's Burgershas become a comfort show for so many and it's becoming such a huge part of the streaming conversation. That's why it's so frustrating to see the show being removed from Fox's mid-winter schedule as it's incredibly popular and is a series that many look forward to watching every week.
It also feels like an even bigger slap in the face due to the show taking alarge hiatusduring season 14 which was due to the strikes. However this time, Fox truly has no excuse for pullingBob's Burgersfrom its normal Sunday animation lineup.
If anything, it brings up an even larger question about what's going to happen in the future withBob's Burgersand if we might see the show eventually become a streaming-only offering.
CouldBob's Burgersbe headed to streaming for good?

While cable TV is still popular, it'll never be what it once was and honestly, it wouldn't be a surprise if Fox made some moves with its animation lineup. Given how popularBob's Burgersis as a comfort show and how many people streamed it in 2024, there is no way Fox hasn't considered it. At this point, it doesn't seem like Fox is ready to make the switch just yet.
Regardless of how the channel feels, it does feel like something's going to have to give. Fox is either going to have to change the nightBob's Burgersis on or change where it airs. While it's not an easy decision, it feels like Fox is going to go with the latter. Fans are already clamoring for new episodes to hit Hulu, and frankly, that's a huge endorsement.
While it likely won't affect production times or anything on that end, it might allow the show to do more with its episodes. Even though it's still going to be a Fox show, streaming can allow shows to bend the rules a little bit and do some off-the-wall things. Looking back at season 1, it does feel likeBob's Burgerscould use a little bit more crude humor and some edge.
No matter how you feel about the series and where it airs, there is no denyingBob's BurgersandHuluare a match made in heaven. Plus withthe moviecurrently available to stream at the time of publication, what more could you want? Maybe we'll see a future whereBob's Burgersonly airs on Hulu or maybe Fox will keep it going via cable. Until then, there's still plenty ofBob's Burgersto look forward to.
