Family Guy spotlighted the Griffin family for over 25 years, capturing their failures and triumphs. It's mostly the latter, but you can't argue that the moments created some spectacular TV. Much of that applause, though, should be credited to Brian and Stewie, as these two best friends put Family Guy on the map.

Through the two-and-a-half decades and counting, Brian and Stewie bonded over their intelligence (with the latter being slightly higher in IQ points) and just the childhood relationship between a boy and his dog. There's nothing more special than that, despite the fact that much of the humor is innuendo and mature with a zing.

The popularity of Brian and Stewie- as they, too, are my favorite Family Guy characters- is one of the reasons why the show has succeeded; you would think by now, in 2025, that the duo would have a spin-off show. The show would not only create more fantastic adventures, emphasizing the pair's comedic relief and without the distraction of additional plotlines. Think Peter screwing things up three times over, not that the Griffin patriarch hasn't created sweet moments of his own, but the spin-off will solely focus on his baby and dog.

The Family Guy Brian and Stewie spin-off would be a hit

Looking at some of the Family Guy episodes that starred Brian and Stewie, their best ones were the "Road To" installments and the fan-favorite "Brain and Stewie" from season 8. The latter offered a more in-depth profile of their relationship, and despite their combined intellect, the two are normally flawed. This character trait expresses that Brian and Stewie are emotionally complex, not just the screen-gabbing individuals they initially began.

Now, imagine if Seth MacFarlane and his creative team decided to launch a spin-off starring Brian and Stewie. How would it go, and what could fans expect?

As a fan, I would love to see more time-travel adventures between Stewie and Brian. There are so many historical points that the friends have yet to touch on, such as Pompeii and the 1929 Stock Market Crash. The duo's perspective on these events would make the audience more interested. If history is piqued through comedy, then it did its job of informing the masses.

Another key note of having a spin-off i that there'll be more episodes of the pair in a season, rather than a few. We'll have more musical numbers and a deeper understanding of Brian and Stewie. And, if I were to be honest, the numbers are some of TV's best and right now, we could use more.

Unfortunately, there isn't going to be any Brian and Stewie spin-off happening anytime soon, and that's a bummer. With season 23 returning this month, hopefully, we'll have more Brian and Stewie-centric episodes to quench our thirst.
