Even Marge Simpson has her bad days. In The Simpsons season 36 episode 14, "P.S. I Hate You" (April 13), Marge unveils a side to her that she has kept a mystery since she was a teenager. It took one unsuspecting individual to release it, all because of a few choice words.
We all have outlets to cool off our anger, and Marge has hers. While often therapeutic, sometimes we don't want to share them as they're our own personal vices. And that's okay. However, when it comes to Marge's anger escape or when she wants to vent about someone, she fears that her sweet persona will be ruined if released.
So, what does she do and who was the one who threatened to spill the tea on Springfield's nicest lady?
Marge goes on a highly intense chase after a young character in The Simpsons season 36 episode 14 "P.S. I Hate You"

Who knew Marge had a mean streak inside of her this whole and we simply didn't know it until now? I have to say, the way she chose to express herself through non-submittable letter writing is ingenious, as you're ejecting your thoughts without letting that person know how you truly feel about them.
Marge may have gotten away with her dirty little secret had it not been for Shauna Chalmers- the teenage daughter of Superintendent Chalmers and the girlfriend of Jimbo Jones- who found the box of stashed letters when babysitting at Marge's party.
At first, it's all fun and games for Shauna because teenagers are thrill-seekers about secrets and scandal—until she reads the piece about her, shattering her fun. As revenge, she disguises herself as a Memoji raccoon and harasses Marge over the phone with an altered voice.
One of the letters pops up at church, directed at Helen Lovejoy, and soon a witch hunt within God's sanctuary pursues.
Marge is determined to get those letters back, even if she does have to pay the demanded $5000. However, upon hearing a quote that Shauna made at the party over the phone, she discovers it was the teenager. After a failed retrieval mission at Chalmers' house, Marge and Homer chase Shauna and Jimbo into town, finally meeting face-to-face on top of a building.
Marge demands the letters back, as they make her feel good, but at this point, they reflect that she's still latching on to her anger. It causes Shauna to nearly fall to her death, but Marge drops the letters and saves Shauna. The two make up for the affliction, even though the townspeople read some unpleasant things about them when the letters descend.
All Marge wants is to be treated like her feelings and emotions exist, as she's not perfect. Springfield accepts her apologies and respects her request.
The Simpsons Skinny
- Beverly D'Angelo and Jon Lovitz reprised their roles as Lurleen Lumpkin and Artie Ziff in this episode.
- Although Shauna projects herself as tough, her bedroom is that of a typical teenage girl.
- It would've been hilarious if Mr. Burs received a hate letter and then blames Smithers for not informing him.
Overall, I really enjoyed P.S. I Hate You," as it gave another layer of Marge's psyche. I loved the way Homer was at her side the whole time, as it meant he worships his wife. And who knew that Marge was such a great writer, accurately describing the townspeople?
Due to net Sunday being Easter, the Simpson family will be taking the night off, hopping back on April 27th.
