I never thought I would see the day Quagmire would lose his appeal to women or his eagerness to jump into bed. But here we are in 2025, which happened in Family Guy season 23 episode 8, "The Elle Word," which aired on April 13. There's a first time for everything they say.
Quagmire isn't a bad guy, as he has a great paying job as a pilot, seems to care about his friends, and happens to love cats. He's just very ambitious and passionate in his hobby, to say the least. Personally, I'd turn him down, but I'll admit there's a certain humor in his personality that serves Family Guy well. The character is based on the stereotype of the 1950s/1960s all-American man and is warped in that era. In other words, Quagmire's a dim window to view that time period, with inaccuracies.
In "The Elle Word," Quagmire fears he lost his zeal, or his mojo, and it leads to his friends trying to help him get it back.
Quagmire, this is your non-giggety life in Family Guy season 23 episode 8

There's a new lady in Quagmire's life; naturally, Peter, Joe, and Cleveland want to know who she is. Quagmire intends to keep his new relationship under wraps, and for some reason, but in the essence of Family Guy, the group makes it their mission to find out who she is.
You can imagine the shock when Quagmire's new lady is Elle the Librarian. She's not much to look at, has an annoying laugh, and doesn't seem to have much in common with the other women in Family Guy. But as Quagmire said, there's something about Elle that he likes and is different than the other women he has been with. Plus, she won Peter and Joe over with puppets, and with the former's child-like mentality, he's easily influenced.
When Quagmire wants to take the next of their relationship with Elle, he's heartbroken to see her with another man, and with his co-worker. He's mortified and it leads him down a rabbit hole of whether he's losing his mojo and sexuality to women. It doesn't help when Elle takes pride in herself regarding hers. A double whammy for the bachelor.
But like the good friends that they are, Peter and the guys help Quagmire reclaim his promiscuity. The Griffin patriarch even tells him that he accepts his crude advancements on Lois.
"'Cause who else but Quagmire?" Peter says.
Elle turns out to be "too much woman" for Quagmire, and he suffers from some farce health condition. Okay then. I see the lewdness alive and well. Anyway, the good news is that he's okay with it, and women still find him irresistible.
Stewie becomes Brian's muse in Family Guy season 23 episode 8

Brian became the Top Dog in "The Elle Word," much to Stewie's disenchantment. If only the kid hadn't become obsessed with yellow mangos and nearly run over by Dr. Hartman, then he wouldn't have received the child harness and leash.
The unique situation is designed to help Stewie stay out of trouble, but Brian uses it to his advantage, taking on a psychological transference of revenge on human superiority over canine submittance. Or could his actions be payback to when Stewie got after him for money many seasons ago?
Despite his new power, several neighborhood dogs don't approve of Brian's treatment. For them, these dogs view their humans as their leaders, and seeing Brian act out of order with his, it's a bad look for the canine community.
It all ends when Stewie is freed from his harness and nearly get run over (again), but this time, it's a celebrity well known in the reality realms.
Family Guy will take the week off for Easter on April 20, but the shenanigans will resume on April 27 on FOX! In the meantime, you can get caught up with season 23 on Hulu!
