Homer Simpson and his precocious 8-year-old daughter, Lisa Simpson, may not always see eye-to-eye, but when they share a moment, it’s pretty special. The beloved duo had some quirky adventures on The Simpsons and they’re not stopping anytime soon as the show plans to extend beyond our lifetimes.

While we think the relationship of Homer and Lisa will be stupendous in the future, whether we’re alive or not, we’re taking a look back at some episodes from our lifetime that shone a light between a dad and his kid. Art least, she’s not bratty as Bart.

”Lisa’s Pony”

Season 3

When Homer failed to buy Lisa a new reed for her saxophone, her performance at her school recital was horrible. She begins to distrust her father, and developed a coldness towards him. In an effort to win back her love, he buys her a pony, much to Marge’s objection.

Lisa is thrilled with her new companion, and even names her Princess. However, bring a child, she’s unaware how expensive it is to take care of a pony. To pay for the expenses and the household, Homer gets a second job, but he’s so exhausted, that he couldn’t do it right. This leads Lisa to make a choice, and in the end, she chose her dad.

“Lisa the Greek”

Season 3

In another season 3 episode, Homer and Lisa bond over the sport of football. It turns out that she has a knack for guessing the winning teams and so, her dad uses this insightfu information to place monetary bets. As a reward, Homer buys her Malibu Stacy stuff, but when she discovers that their time together was just a cover for his gambling, she’s understandably crushed.

She gives him the last two winning teams, and tells him that he must pick the one that reflects her love and trust. Did Homer choose correctly? Let’s just say that he scored a touchdown.

”Lisa the Beauty Queen”

Season 4

To make Lisa feel better about her appearance and self-esteem, Homer enters her in the Little Miss Springfield Beauty Pageant. At first, the thought of being on stage frightens her, but after she finds out that her dad sold his Duff blimp tickets to get thr entry fee, she does it.

Although she wasn’t crowned at first, it’s the thought of her dad wanting to make his little girl happy.

”Lisa the Ironclast’

Season 7

Lisa discovers the awful truth about the founder of Springfield, Jedediah Springfield, and no one believes her but her father. He even tries to help her get the story out, but it ended up costing him as the town cryer in the parade. He was enraged even more when Flanders got to be his replacement.

Still, even though Jedediah was a rotten egg, he also brought people hope and togetherness. The truth will always be there, but Lisa knew just how important he was.

Besides, Homer became the cryer again.

“Lisa’s Sax”

Season 7

The story of Lisa’s saxophone occurred when Springfield was in the midst of a heatwave and the family had to replace their air conditioner. However, the unit was expensive, and they didn’t have enough money for the instrument and the conditioner.

Homer had to make a decision: Keep cool as a cucumber or allow his daughter’s gift to flourish? He chooses Lisa, so she can have a bright and musical future ahead. As for Bart, “Lisa’s Sax” additionally explained his poor performance in his class.

“A Star Is Torn”

Season 16

In s more recent episode, Lisa enters a singing competition per the style of American Idol. Homer becomes her manager, but he takes out the other contestants so that she can win. When Lisa learns about his techniques, she dismisses him. She is soon upset by Homer being the new manager of one her competitors. But, he has a trick up his sleeve by sabotaging his client’s own singing career.

No matter what happens, Homer will always be there for his daughter, Lisa. Even if he doesn’t fully understand her and her ways.
