Family Guy will not singing a new tune tonight (but here's when they will be)

There'll be an encore of a season 23 episode on tonight.
FAMILY GUY: Peter presents parodies of three Hulu shows: "Only Murders in the Building", "The Dropout", and "The Bear" in the all-new “A Real Who’s Hulu” episode of FAMILY GUY airing Sunday, April 27 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. FAMILY GUY © 2025 by 20th Television

Family Guy will be dancing away from a new episode tonight on FOX, as it's Easter. However, it's not all bad, as fans will be given an encore presentation of an early-season 23 episode. It's a Peter-filled one, so you know it's going to be a good one.

The lack of new episodes will only be temporary, as Easter is considered a poor ratings night, as many families will be spending time together, rather than watching the TV. This fan, however, finds it slightly ironic, as some of the best times as a family unit were spent in front of the TV. Yet, why take a risk in the ratings game?

In terms of season 23, Family Guy has been sweet on the deal. I don't know about you, but I'm enjoying the hijinks and shenanigans Peter has been engaging in with supreme results. He possesses this "magic" where he continues to screw up, only to be forgiven, then screws up again. Realistically, many people would only put up with so much and abandon Peter, but if anything, he, his family, and his peers seem to bond together better.

Speaking of bonding, Brian, Chris, and Stewie have been getting on well in season 23, and I'd love to see more of that in future episodes. Their times together prove that, like brothers and friends, they're going to encounter disagreements, but in the spirit of Family Guy, they have a fun time, but nearly forget why they did.

Family Guy will have a repeat of season 23 episode 3 "Drunk With Power" tonight

Family Guy no new episode tonight Fox
FAMILY GUY: PETER runs into Supreme Court Justice BRETT KAVANAUGH at a brewery tour, and the two become best friends, drinking the night into oblivion together. When Peter wakes up, he realizes their lives have swapped, and he joins the Supreme Court as Brett Kavanaugh, and Brett returns to Quahog as Peter. As Peter assimilates his way into the Supreme Court, he is forced to make a ruling on the constitutionality of gay marriage. Meanwhile, Brett tries to become friends with QUAGMIRE, CLEVELAND,

As mentioned, it's Easter, so like The Simpsons, Family Guy will be taking the night off for new episode drops. But, it's not all bad, as FOX will broadcast an encore of season 23, episode 3, "Drunk With Power" in place of it at 8:30 PM EST/7:30 PM CST.. Inside this piece, JSC Brett Kavanaugh and Peter switch their respective roles, and butt heads regarding a critical issue.

The no-new-episode hiatus will only last a week, and Family Guy will resume with the fresh batch on April 27 with season 23 episode 9, "A Real Who’s Hulu.” As you can probably tell, it'll be a parody of three popular Hulu shows on the streamer.

"A Real Who’s Hulu” will air right after The Simpsons at 8:30 PM EST/7:30 PM CST on the FOX network. As we're inching closer to the season finale, it's unlikely that we'll experience any more breaks in between, as networks like to air new episodes back-to-back to keep it fresh and consistent with viewers.

Family Guy airs Sundays on FOX with streaming the next day on Hulu.
